Drunken Noodle

Ingredients

  • Drunken Noodle
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey, (can substitute with chicken breast)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • ½ Large Onion, sliced
  • ½ lb Medium Shrimp
  • 6 Chinese Dried Chili Peppers
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Green Beans,
  • ¾ Cup Red Pepper, sliced
  • ½ Cup Carrots, sliced on a bias
  • 10 oz Fresh Rice Noodles, separated
  • ½ Cup Thai Basil (Can substitute Italian Basil)
  • 1 Cup Bean Sprouts
  • ½ Lime, juiced
  • Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp Siracha Sauce
  • ½ Cup Fish Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Dark Soy
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • ¼ Cup Oyster Sauce
  • 3 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 1 small piece of Ginger, minced
  • ½ Cup Water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, siracha, fish sauce, dark soy, sesame oil, oyster sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger and water together. Set to the side.
  2. In a wok or frying pan, heat up 1 Tablespoon of oil. Add ground turkey to wok and saute until turkey is mostly cooked. While turkey is cooking, break it into small pieces. Move turkey to side and add the other tablespoon of oil to wok. Add garlic to wok and saute for 1 minute. Add sliced onion to wok and saute for 2 minute. Add shrimp and cook until shrimp are starting to turn pink. Mix everything in the together. Add dried chilies and cook for 2 minutes. Push everything in wok to the side. Add egg and scramble until egg is fully cooked. Mix everything together. Add green beans, red pepper and carrots together. Cook for 4 minutes. Add noodles and mix with everything in wok. Saute for 3 minutes. Pour half of set aside sauce mixture in pan and add basil. Mix well and cook for 2 min. Add bean sprouts and rest of sauce, mix and cook 1 min. Plate drunken noodles and pour lime juice over noodle. Serve while hot.
